Two Degrees Adapt and Brizaga Join Forces to Strengthen Climate Resilience and Adaptation Services
Fort Lauderdale, Florida (March 03, 2026) Two Degrees Adapt and Brizaga are proud to announce that the two organizations have joined forces under the Brizaga name. The firms bring together complementary expertise, shared values, and a common mission to advance climate resilience and adaptation efforts.
Both firms are known for their science-based, practical approaches to helping communities, governments, and organizations address climate impacts, flooding, and a wide range of resilience challenges. The combined team expands its ability to deliver integrated, forward-looking solutions that connect climate science, hydrology, planning, policy, and implementation, while also providing Brizaga with an expanded physical presence in the New York and New Jersey region.
A Shared Mission, Stronger Together
Brizaga is expanding its reach and technical expertise with the addition of the Two Degrees Adapt team, whose deep experience spans climate adaptation, flooding and hazard mitigation, vulnerability and risk assessments, and community-centered resilience planning. Combined with Brizaga’s strengths in resilience strategy, infrastructure, engineering, and applied implementation, the integrated team brings a broader, more multidisciplinary capability to help clients address climate impacts, flooding, and a wide range of resilience challenges.

This next phase allows us to do more, together.” Sharai brings nearly two decades of experience in climate adaptation, environmental sustainability, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and flood resilience.
Brian Smoliak, Ph.D., CCM, is a Certified Consulting Meteorologist joining Brizaga as a Senior Scientist, expanding the team’s technical expertise in atmospheric science, agriculture, energy, heat risk, data science and analytics, and technology development.
